Scripture:
Jeremiah 32: 14-27
Main Verse:
Jeremiah 32: 27
"I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"
Observation:
The Lord has shown several times in the Bible how great and mighty He was. He showed his power when he rescued the Israelites from the Egyptians in the parting of the Red Sea. He let Joshua and the Israelites conquer Jericho. In the New Testament, the Lord calmed a raging sea with only two words: "Be still!" Jesus brought Lazarus back to life even though he was dead for four days. So when the Lord instructed Jeremiah to buy the fields, He reminded him that there is nothing that He can't do. All things are possible because he is Sovereign Lord!
Application:
With God, all things are possible (Mark 10:27). We often hear of this verse, but do we genuinely hold on to this verse and trust that the Lord can do the impossible? The Lord can never lie. If He tells us that He will do something for us, then He will do it according to His will and great purpose. He keeps his promises. He is faithful! If you think something is impossible, think again. You may have a sick loved one, you may be in a financial crisis due to debt or unpaid taxes, you may be struggling with an addiction. But God is telling us "I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" So, believe! With God, all things are possible!
Prayer:
Father, you are indeed Sovereign Lord. You created the earth and the universe and everything in it. You can command all your creations to move or to be still. I have nothing to fear, because you can do all things that are impossible to man. You are worthy to be praised because of your greatness. I will praise you all the days of life. AMEN.
