Texts:
Genesis 18:19
For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing what is right and just, so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.
Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
***Every church member has an important role in their family. As believers, it is our responsibility to lead our family members to God. God promises the salvation of an entire household that believes in Him, but if we do not lead our members to God, they will not have salvation. We must remember that salvation is not automatically received.
***God promises a blessing for serving the Lord, but his blessings come with a condition.
***We need to teach our family what is RIGHT and what is JUST. Our family will miss out on God's countless blessings if we become complacent and do not tell them about the Lord and the amazing things He has done and can do on their lives.
***Families are being attacked by the devil. Every believer must be aware of that. If we go out of the umbrella of God's care, we will be vulnerable to the devil's advances.
***One way to resist and rebuke the devil is by memorizing the Word of God.
